Recording Club

our group Recording Club is working in the field of blind welfare since 20th, May, 2016. Currently, we have more than thousand visually challenged persons connected with our whatsap and telegram group. We have connected our service in more than 28 states serving the educational, vocational, sociological needs of visually challenged persons. We also provide various daily newspapers in accessible format in the early morning latest by nine A.M. in audio and pdf format. Considering the situation of Covid pandemic situation, during which the entire globe had shifted to virtual learning system, our group too attempted to fulfill the educational needs of our visually challenged community. Considering this vulnerable emerging situation, We had conducted series of monthly online workshops on career guidance for the visually challenged persons so that their future interest and ambition can be well shaped by getting the proper guidance to choose the right path in their life. So far, we have conducted several such workshops including career opportunities in Journalism and Mass Communication, the opportunities in financial institutions and special emphasis on social rehabilitation, Banking, Management, Electrical appliances, handling and care opportunities in corporate sector etc. We had also organized English Learning Classes for the visually challenged aspirants for more than six months through zoom and google meet platform in which more than 100 aspirants have benefited. We have also started Computer Learning classes through online mode in which nearly 50 persons with blindness have so far taken the training. Apart from this, we do also get the educational books of various boards/colleges/universities recorded for our members to enable them independent studying. We do also get various magazines/journals recorded which are useful for competitive examinations and deliver them regularly. To achieve this aim, we have a team of dedicated readers to record the materials as listed above. Our readers start recording the newspapers from early morning at 4 AM and goes on this work throughout the day till 7 PM. we are also helping the needy visually impaired persons to make them available scribe in their regular academic and competitive exams. The club strives to empower lives of its visually challenged members by adopting more and more new innovation and technology. Our club has also taken the initiative to arrange matrimonial meet for the differently abled persons which is the first kind of event ever organized in india for which more than 400 differently abled persons have registered their names. So far, we have been able to make more than 40 matches out of which two couples have made their decision to marry. To enhance the hidden talents of the visually impaired youths, we had also organized several competitions like Music, essay, elocution, poetry recitation etc. We had also organized unique event of Braille reading competition through virtual mode which happened to be the first kind of event organized in India in which nearly 200 blind children had participated from different states. We had also organized online summer camp for children from age 5 to 12 through Zoom platform in which nearly 50 children had participated in this event including the sighted and blind children. We attempt to generate awareness about the capabilities of the visually challenged person in the society to create the inclusive environment with the sighted colleagues.books, our group organizes empowerment conference every year to gather all its visually impaired persons at different places. We have so far organised 4 conferences first in Pushkar Ajmer held in February 2017, second in Udaypur Rajasthan in December 2017, third at Dewas in Madhya Pradesh in September 2018 and fourth in Mount Abu in May 2019.
